Joy Of Giving.

First time I experienced the JOG, joy of giving, on 09-Jul-2011. It was my friend's birthday and one of my friend came with the plan to celebrate the birthday with the little children of an orphanage.
We got the address of the 'Blessed Foundation' and discussed with the caretaker about our plan. With mutual consult we decided time of visit to the orphanage as 5:00 pm.
We got to know that there are 25 children living. Next thing for us was to select the items which can be presented to them as a gift and which could be beneficial for them. For that we went to Big Bazaar. First thing came to our mind was books, notebooks and pens. Besides these things, we took toys, chess board, and two rubber volleyball. We took lot of eatables such as chocolates, biscuits, candies and chips.
We went on bikes - 3 bikes for 6 friends. We drove for more than 50 km and after putting so much of effort in finding the exact route we finally reached to the Blessed Foundation at 6:00 pm.
We were greeted with the blessing of Dushara by Akshaya, a sweet little girl, unfortunately an orphan. She is very cute and I enjoyed playing with her for more than half an hour. I met a boy who was from Nandedh, Maharashtra. After cake cutting ceremony, a girl danced on the track 'Jhoom barabar jhoom'. Her performance was awesome and we enjoyed a lot.
We gave gifts to the children and felt their happiness. Even after getting a single, not much costlier, toy they got smile on their faces. Seeing smiles on their faces and happiness around them, we really felt the joy of giving.
We wanted to spent more time but it was already 8:00 pm so, we decided to leave. chatted to the care taker, parents actually, of the children. When asked about the children then got to know that these children come from PS, Police Station, or someone bring them because their parents leave them alone.
Thank god for giving me everything i need. God please take care of them.
